We forgot that Navarette is a one taxi town and that taxi was in Bilbao. We should have booked yesterday! Our kids will remember the Horsham taxi fiasco.
Luckily the lovely lady from Bocateria Move came to the rescue and arranged for Najera's taxi to pick us up.

We are now sitting by the river in Najera with a second breakfast of bocadillos ( bacalao omelette and mushroom omelette).

And another stork nest - you can just see the young ones.

Spot the Aves up in the cliff. We can't find any information about them yet.
We went back to our original cafe and people just gravitated to us.
A girl called Nelly, an American we've never met before asked our advice on what to do next regarding the walk. We gave our opinion and gave not seen her since. That may be good... Or bad...
Kyle and the unnamed French lady appeared after walking from Navarette. We had a great chat about hitch hiking around the States. Or rather, I told some war stories about when I did it in the late 70s.
Then Deidre and her mum, the 2 Irish lasses turned up. We discussed the monarchy, Brexit, Downton Abbey, Boris Johnson and the state of Northern Irish politics. I was surprised about how much she knew about British politics, but she says they watch Sky News.
After that we turned up at the hostel, which was just around the corner. We have a double room, which is very nice.
We had lunch around the corner, which was fried squid for me and chicken and chips for Ruth. Plus a few beers... Estrella, so no beer blog update.
Around 1400 the town quietened down so its siesta time for us.
