Day 14 - Burgos

We followed these guys into Burgos. They took the route around the airport avoiding the industrial zone and then through a country park and alongside the river.

There was a great outdoor gym area

I've seen nothing like it in the UK.

Walking through Burgos.

They had these great structures following the route.

Strange fake F1 cars being towed around the town.

Great tapas lunch with cathedral backdrop. Note the morcilla Black pudding, razor clam, tortilla and olives plus obligatory beer.

Saturday is wedding day around the cathedral.

These are pictures taken inside the cathedral, the last one being El Cid.

Walking round Burgos can be very busy. Apart from seeing wedding parties, hen and stag parties, we had to find a Jacotrans envelope which seemed to be elusive. You use this or other companies to ship your bag to your next hostel.

We caught up with lots of people here like Brendan and PJ, Rose and Paul, the ancient Koreans, Deidre and Marion, the long haired Italian guy, Remy and probably lots more. We had farewell drinks with the Irish lasses as they were on their way home.

However the bedroom that night was sweltering. The air con was non functional so I had the window wide open at 0300. Not a great night's sleep.
