The room in the hostal was great.

Apologies for the photo, but it was at 0550 the next morning as we left.
The room even had a terrace. So we showered, washed laundry and hung it all over the terrace.
Next we found the supermarket for bread, real cheese and saucisson - apologies for using the French spelling. Then we wandered around the town looking for an open bar for drinks and food.
Being España, there was a general close up of bars and restaurants between about 1700 and 2000.
We found a bar, but the beer wasn't great. But we bumped into the American who told us about alfalfa, and also Sam, who was a bit disconcerted to being called a legend on our Camino.
Because the beer was crap, we found another place and ran into Melissa and also Alan. Later Sam and Geoffrey joined us, along with Jurgen. Interesting conversations progressed, including confessions about cross dressing to get free drinks in Latin America and low level drug dealing, plus experiences doing karaoke.
We bailed out to get some food. We went to the first bar we had gone to - not the sour bartenders place. We had the menu of the day, which, in my case, was lentil soup plus grilled sea bass, which was great. Ruth had macaroni bolognese, which turned out to be macaroni salad with fish sticks. This was also good. Then it was time for bed.
