Weve been a week on the Camino. And the feet really know it. I'm just about ok but Ruth is blistered on both feet. We manage to keep in step, walking slowly.

We leave at 0630, having made sandwiches and stop for coffee at a service station. The route is uphill. But we find a surprise

A wonderful blacksmith

An amazing bull! It doesn't look great here but it was truly wonderful. Ruth bought a pendant and then we were off again. To the bodega with bot a water and red wine tap.

The wine tap is on the left and they provide 100 litres for free after 0800. Unfortunately, we were there at 0730!

There is a live webcam...

The two people on the left are young Franciscan nuns.

How did we know they were Franciscan nuns? Because of their habits! Apparently they were a rope belt around there habits, which has three knots in it, signifying Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.

In the middle of nowhere was a lady busker with an accordion. She played well andifted our spirits as it was a long hot slog. It was one of those head down, grind it out days with little shelter from the sun.

We are now in Los Arcos, which is a sleepy dying town, once a major cross roads.

We have done our laundry and left it out on the balcony.

And we're now back after a few drinks and chat in the main square.

This journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Rest days are important! It's a Pilgrimage, not a route march. Take care of blisters as soon...
