First night abroad in a long time

We stayed last night at an airport hotel

It's quite nice. Toilet plumbing was playing up.

The evening meal was okay and the price was included in the room rate.

This was whitebait with croutons. They should have used more of the frying time on the fish rather than the bread. Main course was roast lamb with beans, which was, in fact, grilled lamb Leg chop with white beans in an overly tomato sauce. It was nice enough...

The bed was comfortable, the toilet was behaving. Coming back to the bed after visiting the quietish loo, I managed to fall off the bed and bang my head against the wall. Luckily Ruth didn't wake up. However she mentioned at breakfast that she heard me fall out of bed but rolled over and went back to sleep.
