Pictures of pints don't do justice to their organoleptic properties

A decent Basque brew and the drink of the day.

I will keep adding different beers to this post

Grimbergen Rouge, a fruity Belgian beer

Grimbergen Blonde

The Estrellia Galicia was from Bar Valentin in Zubiri, a great bar great service and small but tasty menu.

The San Miguel is from our Albergue in Zubiri. It was €2

Time for a pulled San Miguel now we're in Pamplona

And the pincho is tuna with anchovy. Look away Laura!

I tried both the lager and the roja. Both were good. Now I'm looking for Mahou.

Just found this near our hotel. Very nice brew.

2022/5 /26 Today's lunchtime beer is Mahou.

It was a hard slog today. We finally arrived at Albergue Jakue. The laundry is on and I'm drinking San Miguel Selecta, which is a new one to me.

Today's new brew is Ambar

Totally justified at 11.00 as we'd been walking since 07.00 and the beer was Ambar Especial

Not to be confused with Ambar Export, a red ale, which we are currently drinking by the river in Estella

These beers are interesting. The one on the right is an unfiltered lager type, which was very nice. The Amstel was a very toasted malt flavour. Nice enough but I preffered the Aguila.

Lunch time brews in Viana were the Alhambra Reserva Roja, and Stella Artois on the right. I liked them both. Ruth was Meh about the Roja.

First new beer for days. 18/70 La Rubia 6.2%

Mort Subite Kriek Lambic - great find in Beldorado

Paulaner Weissbeer on draft - again in Beldorado, Restaurant Etoile

Beer in Burgos and its German!

Beer at Bar Origen in Hornillos

We tried this brew in Frómista. It tasted very tinny. I am sure the miserable bartender soured it by his very existence. But I could be biased....

Keler is an average lager, drunk in Mancilla.

I've seen this beer around but never had a chance to drink it. We both tried it today in Ledigos at our Albergue La Morena. It's a Witbier and is great.

In Santiago I tried the Banda Caravan lager and the Stu Moston+Finback Art+53 IPA. Of the two, I'd choose the Caravan lager.
