Talking with people today on the walk, everyone had some plans that they failed to implement before their Camino trip.

We failed to do all our walking with backpack training. Having said that, we did better than most.

Others, including us, planned to do some stretching before and after walking. I have yet to meet someone who has completed even one session.

For others, it is writing a daily journal for this trip. I think I am doing better than most.

I have never been convinced of the value of stretching before and after exercise. The physiology does not need it

Replying to

I've used PNF stretching in the past and found it effective in maintaining or increasing both passive and active ranges of motion. But I agree there is little or no evidence for the use of static stretching before exercise What I have noticed is a reduced range of motion after several days of walking with a pack. And I can say that having stretched at the end of the day here, I do feel better for it.
